Ovation 2009 and Reverberation 2009
Ovation 2009 – the Annual District Conference of our District, scheduled for May 22nd, 23rd, & 24th, 2009.
The venue, Mount Lavinia Hotel, situated a few miles from the bustle of Colombo, is located on the beach and offers the most stunning skyline views of the city and beautiful unforgettable sunsets from the terrace. The original building circa 1806 was a Governor's Mansion, so called after a gypsy girl, Lavinia, the Governor was in love with. The building was also featured in the film, "Bridge on the River Kwai".
The Organizers of Ovation 2009 have put in a great effort to ensure that it will be one of the most educative and enjoyable conferences in recent times. A conference that you, as an active Toastmaster, should not miss.
DTM Pat Johnson, 2nd Vice President of Toastmasters International, trainer & motivational speaker will be the Keynote Speaker at the conference.
Other well-known international toastmasters, as well as our own toastmasters, will also be sharing their great wealth of knowledge with us.
Moreover, at this conference the International Speech Contest Winner will be selected from our District to represent us at the forthcoming International Convention in August 2009, at Mashantucket, Connecticut, USA.
This competition will be very special indeed, providing us with some world-class performances. The Organizers have not forgotten the families either, having planned an exciting itinerary to keep them busy and entertained, both on the beach and at the shopping malls!
Early bird discounts are being offered only on November 29th at Reverberations, the semi-Annual Fall conference. Please do not miss this opportunity.

2. You could print the forms for you and fellow members of your club, and bring the hard copies filled to Chennai to avail the conference day offer.
3. You could pay in Indian Rupees if you wish to in Chennai or register online.
4. The cost of one night stay in a five star resort hotel in India is what you will be paying at Mt Lavinia for 4 nights.
