Why the name toastmasters?
Dr. Ralph C. Smedley started ‘Toastmasters’ in the US. The original intention of this club was to help people to easily and confidently reply to toasts raised during banquets. Thus the name ‘Toastmasters’. But now, its sole focus is on developing communication and leadership skills.
